The forests that afford a pleasant bush walk, the water ways on which to kayak and sail, the rivers that offer plentiful fishing opportunities or the golden sandy beaches with aquamarine waters to enjoy all need protection and preservation.
The manufactured housing industry realises the priceless natural experiences that must be preserved so that future generations can continue to enjoy the natural beauty that Australia has to offer.
To combat climate change and to strive for environmental sustainability, CCIA and MHIA developed the Gumnut Awards.

social responsibility. CCIA and MHIA work
closely with the University of Western Sydney to ensure that industry
businesses progress consistently and successfully throughout each level
of the Gumnut Awards program - protecting our environment and our
future.
Many manufactured home villages are part of the Gumnut Awards, but
if not, speak to your village management to see how they can get
involved. Village simply need to contact MHIA for more information
about getting involved in the program.
In the Villages section of this website, Gumnut Award logos are
placed next to the name of manufactured
